    Trash Bestsellers to $9.99 E-Books: What’s Wrong Here?

    Inside of Powells, City of Books Last weekend a good friend and colleague of mine went to Powell’s downtown (for those not familiar with Powells it’s book mecca for the west coast) and like all trips to Powells, I left with ten more titles to add to my shelves. As you can tell by my writing (www.beckybanksonline.com) I’m a romance junkie. But not for the genre. I’m an anomaly. I want my story to be solid and I want my romance to be a sidenote while I fall for my characters, THEN at the right moment when all the magic is to happen I wanna watch.     Maui on My Mind

    Just got a moment in the hubub of publishing since I got back from Maui in July to upload these great pics. This trip was for my mother’s retirement party – she dedicated 37 years to the education of youngsters. Simply amazing, I hope to have that kind of dedication in my DNA as well. Mom’s cake – and if you’re wondering yes “Congratulations Diane on 37 years of Education Excellence” fits on a Costco sheet cake.
